CHALOK IN KOH TAO
- ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW AND THINGS TO DO -
Chalok is probably the less known of the three main areas of Koh Tao. If you see the map of the island, you’ll find Chalok in the Southern part, looking at Koh Pha-Ngam. This place is well known for relaxing and a laid back atmosphere, so if you are looking for a place to chill and read, you’ve come to the best place! We will provide you with some tips to enjoy this beautiful and less known part of the island.
WHY YOU SHOULD GO TO CHALOK
Koh Tao is a relatively small island, so you shouldn’t miss any inch of it, especially the three main areas and appreciate the contrasts. You should visit Chalok if you are looking for white sand and crystal clear waters, similar to the ones you’ve seen in the postcards of your holidays. This secluded spot is so quiet that you can almost guarantee you will have the beach to yourself. At the same time, you’ll find nice bars and restaurants to enjoy a smoothie, a Chang or a Pad Thai.
If you are looking for nice accommodation, Chalok has a lot to offer. From cozy bungalows by the beach to five stars resorts. Many dive shops offer diving courses in many different languages so diving won’t be a problem. Freediving is also provided and Chalok has one of the best schools, something you might want to try during your holidays.
Relaxing on a beach however, is still the main attraction when coming to Chalok Here you can find Freedom Beach and Shark Bay which are two of the best spots on the island for chilling and snorkeling.
