WHERE TO STAY IN KOH TAO
Koh Tao offers a wide variety of places to stay from a simple wooden bungalow on the beach to affordable hostels in town or perhaps you’d like to hire a villa with luxury pools accompanied by a private beach that are spread over a dozen different bays, beaches and 3 popular areas (Mae Haad, Sairee and Chalok).
ACCOMMODATION IN MAE HAAD
Mae Haad is the entry point of Koh Tao, so it’s always very handy in terms of mobility. The location is great, just in between Chalok and Sairee, within walking distance from both, although it’s advisable to rent a bike on the island. Besides, you’ll find good and affordable accommodation, some top-notch restaurants, nice retail shops and, of course, many dive shops to explore the waters around the paradise.
ACCOMMODATION IN SAIREE
If you are looking to spend some nights out, it’s better to stay close to the pubs. Besides, you can enjoy the charm of the beach, with its many places to eat or play pool. You can also find some shows like the ladyboy show or the pub crawl, something a party lover cannot miss. However, if you are looking for something quieter, you can also find some hotels or hostels nearby, away from the noise.
ACCOMMODATION IN CHALOK
Chalok is the most peaceful place on the island, but still close to all amenities someone needs to enjoy their holidays. For that reason, many people book their stays in this area. Prices are usually lower than in other areas, especially since Sairee is the busiest side of the island.
