WHAT IS THE ADVANCED CERTIFICATION?
Usually, the Advanced Certification, called in PADI Advanced Open Water Certificate, is your second step in the world of diving. Once you’ve completed your Open Water and know the basics about this sport, then is time to take a step further and get more skills. With the Advanced Certificate, you’ll be able to arrive up to 30 meters and you could also enjoy some night diving among other stuff. In Koh Tao, you’ll see the stunning wreck HTMS Sattakut, landed 30 meters below the water.
In this course, you’ll enjoy five different dives, each of them with a special skill to be taught. You will be given a computer and a compass, so you’ll have more control in your dives. You will get information about the different type of dives and how to arrive to the good spots for diving.
Then, in these five dives, you’ll be able to complete your skills in buoyancy (you’ll do some exercise like Buda or crossing a goal), navigation (you’ll find the boat or the target with your compass), night dive (a torch will be given to you), deep (up to 30 metres, probably at Chumphon), and wreck.
